The University of Birmingham is pleased to offer a number of High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships to students domiciled in Canada who are applying to begin a full-time undergraduate programme in September 2026.
These scholarships are awarded to high-achieving students who will commence their studies at the University of Birmingham during the 2026/27 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria
Students who are already registered and studying at the University of Birmingham in the UK are not eligible. Applicants to MBChB Medicine and Surgery and BDS Dental Surgery are also excluded. Law applicants may apply for scholarships offered separately by Birmingham Law School.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have received an offer of admission and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate programme starting in September 2026
- Be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at the University’s UK campus
- Meet all academic conditions attached to their offer
- Be classified by the University as an overseas fee payer and be able to pay any remaining tuition fees not covered by the scholarship
- Have sufficient funds to cover full living costs, as well as visa and travel expenses
- Begin their studies in September 2026 (deferral of the scholarship is not permitted)
- Submit the scholarship application through the official online form by 29 May 2026
- Pay the net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November following enrolment

How to Apply
Applicants must have accepted an offer from the University of Birmingham, selected Birmingham as their firm choice, and completed the scholarship application form by the deadline of 29 May 2026. Selection is based on academic merit.
Only in exceptional circumstances, such as when candidates have identical academic results, may applicants be invited to attend an online interview.
Scholarship decisions will be announced in late June, and awards will be confirmed upon enrolment in September 2026.
